Whale Watching

High season is July, August and September.

This is the season for the Humpback Whales. These gentle giants feed only in summer, in polar waters, and migrate to tropical or subtropical waters to breed and give birth. They can migrate up to 25,000 km each year.

The Humpback Whale has a distinctive body shape, with unusually long pectoral fins. Adults range in length from 12–16 meters and weigh approximately 36,000 kg.

Come and listen to their beautiful songs and watch them jump and dive in the Pacific Ocean. This truly is a unique experience.

Morrimoco makes you feel like you are right at home in paradise…the gorgeous scenery, the delicious food, beautiful rooms with plenty of space to relax in the company of a welcoming family. Plan to relax while here! A stroll along the beach, some swimming, snorkeling or kayaking, bird watching, a visit to the creek and falls, all right at the property. Definitely ask for a trip to Utria Park. This is at an extra charge, but well worth it! We stayed here 3.5 days, which was just perfect for us, as we are not the types to sit still for very long. The cost with everything included was cheaper than the other hotels where food had to be purchased separately. Everything was well arranged: pickup at the airport, our stay, and drop-off…all very smooth. We absolutely loved our stay here, far away from the world for a few days, and yet incredibly comfortable. No noise other than nature. A lovely family to make us feel at home. If you’d like to see the Chocó in all its beauty, this is where you should stay

Room Tip: We stayed in the cabin, which was great, but it looked like all rooms were equally amazing.
