High season is from April to May.

Learning to fish with a ‘yo-yo’ like the locals is fun. If you are an experienced fisherman, you can bring your equipment and go out to sea for as long as you like with very few (if any) other boats in sight. You will feel as if you have the whole place to yourself!

Fishing takes place all year round. However, the high season goes from April to May when the Humboldt current brings an incredible amount of fish into the area. Huge schools of sardines are followed by the big fish: sailfish, marlin, tuna, mahi mahi and more.

It is amazing to see so much fish around and hundreds of sea birds flying everywhere.

I loved my stay here. Pablo and his mum made us feel incredibly welcome, the food was excellent, and the cabin was comfy, clean and spacious, with great views of the beach and rainforest.
The setting is amazing – the beach and bay are beautiful and empty. The rainforest and gardens are alive with birds. And the friendly dogs keep you company on the beach
